Next just user soap and water and rise again.

Then make them like new again with a wipe down of Penetrol. After it dries you will never need to use stuff like Black WOW or Back to black again.

The most important part about using Penetrol is making sure your moldings are free of any silicone crap like Black WOW, Back to Black or any other goo type trim / tire dressing.

When I treat / detail an older car after it is fully power washed and dried. I wipe down the trim with Acetone than Lacquer thinner to remove all the Silicone from the trim first and let it dry.

Then apply 1 coat of Penetrol with a sponge with rubber gloves on. Let it dry and do another coat. If you want to add a third you can, just make sure the other coats dry in between first.

When you are done toss the gloves and sponge because that stuff is never coming out of the sponge.

Your trim will always look great, dust will just wipe right off because the trim is dry and water even beads right off when washing.

Oh and Yellow road paint will come right off also. My friend tested it with his all black mustang after I just detailed his car. :mad2: :lol: (moron)

I used the Penetrol on my R56 per Dave.0's suggestion. Worked great. I'll be using it on the new car after a while too. Still have plenty of acetone and penetrol. Thanks Dave!

 

Any brand that Home Depot sells will be fine to use. You are just using it as a cleaner.

I use a wax sponge and go slow around the edges and if any gets on the paint I wipe it off asap.
