1 + nothing works better on brake dust. Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner Another trick to help keep your wheels clean is skip wheel/ rim wax products and use RainX on your rims. I put it on the outside and inside barrels real thick and do do not buff it out like a window. ( I do wipedown the fronts) This a great way to stop brake dust from sticking to your wheels esp when they get wet when they are dirty. Also you will use ALOT less wheel cleaner when you do clean your wheels and it is much faster as everything lifts right off with very little if any scrubbing. Oh and RainX is also great on glass shower doors and Tile too...so my wife says.
So I cleaned the OEM wheels, don't recall what they are called, 5 spoke silver maybe, and they were very dirty, as you can see; It had been a long while since their last cleaning, and they looked real bad So I started taking them off the car, Soaking them, Scrubbing them, Soaking them some more, Scrubbing them some more, Lo and behold I could see wheels under all that crud, So I kept at it. Now they start to look like something, Put 2 coats of Wheel Armor on them, inside and out, And they turned out great IMO, :arf: Mark
Wow Mark that is amazing!:cornut: Do them make a tire cleaner than can make bald tires have new tread? :ihih:
Wow Mark.... Comparing the before and after pix, looks like you rubbed so hard you might have made the cleaner ones quite a bit lighter....:cornut:
Is Wheel Wax a paste or a liquid? I've never used the stuff but I found a tub of it that I bought and forgot. I've probably had it for 5+ years. Opened the tub expecting to find a paste but it's a liquid. Looks like light yellow latex paint... Is this normal or is it just past its sell-by date?
Is it Real or is it Memorex? It's has kind of a "Cool Whip" consistency with an almond / yellowish color.... or maybe like old latex paint that's starting to congeal a little....
Mine is much thinner than that. Guess I'll just have to try a little on something and see what it does. thanks
