Perfect. Now a couple of other comments/questions:

Is there a way to activate the "I Will Be Attending" option on the calendar so others can indicate they plan on being at the event?

At another site (rhymes with Jam) I could simply copy and paste on-line pictures without having to do the link thing. Is this a feature you can turn on?

My hyperlinks do not have the underline and color change normally seen on Jam.

Can you add me as moderator or administrator or whatever to the MITM forum?

I can see a time when our club moves entirely to this site. Thanks for providing an alternative to the corporate Jam-heads.

    Chuck

    1. You have been added as the MITM Forums moderator.

    2. Hyperlinks - I know, I've contacted my style guru and asked her to change the way we deal those to underline and/or change the color to indicate they are links. Yours is not the first comment on this.

    3. I'm not sure what you mean by the copy and paste with the on line images.

    4. The RSVP function is a modification that has yet to catch up in version to this version of vBulletin, the underlying software used the run the forum. I need to do some testing to see if it works and it is on my list of things to do. I'll move that up in priority.

Thanks Nathan. As for #2: For example I could go to my Flickr account and right-click on a picture and choose copy then go to the Jam site and right-click and select paste and there you go, picture inserted. It only worked for pictures on-line not from my computer. It sure was handy since it placed the picture in the post so if the link ever changed it did not matter. A very nice ability to have. Was I the only one able to do this?

I'll look into the image thing.

I've installed and tested the RSVP functionality.

This one now has Yes/No/Maybe as options and allows for comments in the RSVP of up to 255 characters.

I can also add a self configurable event attendance limit and then once the limit hit all RSVP's are moved to a wait list. However, if a person changes their response from Yes to No the 1st Wait List person is NOT automagicly moved to the attending list. Thats still being worked on.

To test this I tried this....

    Went to flickr

Selected an image, right clicked and selected copy

Right clicked in edit window and did not see a paste option. Now I've never seen that ability on a forum before.

Then I right clicked the image and selected Copy Image Location

Pasted that in the post above you see the results, it's just a link.

I've always had to wrap an image in the tags show in the Code box below to get them to work.

    Code:
    [IMG]URL To Image[/IMG]
Can you point me to post on "that other site" where you did this please. I'd like to look at the code.

I took a look and those images are wrapped in an IMG tag. Unless flickr has a mechanism to do that automatically when you past a URL into a post it is wrapped in URL tags as it should be.

I need to look into this more by creating a flickr account and doing some testing. I have to admit there are some other pressing issues to deal with first. I will revisit this.

No worries. BTW, it wasn't only Flickr I could do this with. Really any online photo would work unless they had the copy feature turned off.

    Eureka!!!!

    :idea:struck me

I got it figured out...I think

Go to UserCP -> Edit Options

Scroll to bottom - Message Editor Interface

Select Enhanced Interface - Full WISYWIG Editing

I forgot, the admin on "that other forum" had that set by default. I can't stand that mode myself so when I did the opens here I didn't set that the default.
