    well they replaced the thermostat and had to reprogram the computer due to a rough idle.

    Sounds like the HPFP, but that is just a SWAG on my part. That goodness for warranty. They'll get her fixed up so no worries.

    I'm with you Chuck.... MINI came out with an extended warranty that covers issues with the HPFP. The dealer will fix it for you.

    Interesting. Second post-2009 car with start issues I've heard about. Please let us know what the dealer finds. I hope it's a quick fix.

    Interesting, my 2011 Clubbie has had this issue a couple of times. Never thrown a check engine light, but I will have to keep an eye on it.
