I have 75k on my 09 as well, mostly highway miles. Using my previous 04 as a reference, I had 106k on it with the original clutch.

I'm at 94k on my '08 and still motoring along on the original clutch.

Thanks for the feedback. I hope I do at least as well as both of you have.

I had 49,876 miles on my clutch in my '05 'vert. I still remember the day it let go. I believe it was on lap 4 of the 3rd session at Streets of Willow. :biggrin5:

The clutch in my R53 '06 was replaced about 1000 miles before the warranty expired... it was making a small creaking noise when I lifted off of the clutch (1st inch from the floor). Since the warranty was about to expire, I dropped by the dealership and a tech stepped in, pressed the clutch once and said "yep... you just got a new clutch!".
I'm at 72k miles now... hoping that it was a factory defect! -

Pushing 115000 on my 03. Our 08 Clubman clutch blew to pieces at around 25000, changed under warranty.

I find the biggest factor in clutch life to be driver. Even on my racecar which gets abused I haven't worn out the clutch. But in my justa Cooper I've loaned out to customers the clutch only lasted a year:confused5:
The other factor I see aftermarket clutches. I'd say 80% of aftermarket clutches are junk and no good for street use. When used on the street many of them bite the dust way too early. -

I find this somewhat interesting and or strange.....
The 09 factory JCW comes with a 228mm (8.976") diameter clutch.
The 09 "S" comes with a 235mm (9.25") diameter clutch.
And they each have a different throw-out bearing listed.
All per Realoem......
So would the assumption be correct that the JCW uses a lighter clutch / flywheel assembly? I wonder how the clutch "life" expectancy plays into these differences, as we all report our clutch mileages? -
I just replaced my clutch and Flywheel at 46,000 miles.

My '09 CLubman JCW is about 1000 miles from end of warranty so I'm guessing I've got about 1001 miles before mine goes
But I hope not - seems tight & quiet... :fingerscrossed:
