If the monster truck rally is in town, I find those ramps to be more helpful in achieving air for suspension analysis.:yesnod:

For this case at least it certainly doesn't look like the rear helpers are needed like Rally said. KW's generally have a lot of travel too so I'd expect that to be a sign that most coilovers won't need them.

I just remember when I did my suspension that when the rear dampers/springs were removed the wheels hung way down. Are the dampers on the KW's short enough not to req. the helpers when the rear end is off the ground?

I've only looked when 1 wheel was lifted. Perhaps I'll look with both up this weekend.

Many of the coilovers are short enough as to not require the helpers, which is what I was originally getting at. I can't imagine ever needing them on a MINI which has a fairly short rear strut. -

It was a good day today, at pro tuning performance in Fort Worth, TX.
Corner balance, setting end links and getting an alignment on their hella-cool Hunter rack.
The car feels great on the highway. I haven't had much seat time yet in The turns, but it had felt a bit squirrley over the past week or so and that all feels sorted now. -

I want to give a public thanks to Forrest at PTP. When he was doing the alignment, he just didn't get the settings to within tolerance, he kept at it until the alignment was RIGHT ON the value. He's a much more patient man than I. Great work! The price was right as well, as they give a nice discount for being a local MINI club member.
I'll definately be back for set-up work and alignment again.

From Scott at TSW when they worked with KW on the KW / TSW setup.
Our V2's and V3's have helper springs in the front and the back to keep the main spring in contact with the perches, since we don't run the same springs as the off-the-shelf units... We told KW we didn't need them, but they insisted in order to maintain TUV certification - in case sets get shipped back to the EU.
