Hello everyone been a while since iv been on here. My shocks and struts are shot. Looking to upgrade to coilover. What kind should I consider and do I need anything else. I dont wanna lower it that much. Oh yea and it's an 06 R53. Gonna do brakes, rotors and coilover for my first major project on my mini.

The Greene Performance custom built coil-overs are the best bang for the buck.

They are NOT off the shelf BC coil-overs at all. They are custom valved, they have custom Swift Springs and adjustable camber plates.

If you contact Colin, owner of Greene Performance, he can answer any question you have as he hand builds each unit.

Another nod to the Greene Performance coilovers. I've had them on my car for several years with no problems or regrets. Call Colin and talk to him.

First question should be.......why do you think you need coilovers?

Good question. Often it is a want vs a need. At least that is the way with me many times. ;)

Soo true. Thats the right question, what are you looking to accomplish. But I'm a sucker for go fast parts.. sometimes when not actually needed. :D

Me too, loves me go fast & even handle better parts. I learned a long time ago buying cheap most times means buying twice. If I was buying coil-overs I'd be looking hard at Greene's.

I’ve been on the fence on this too. I like the ride of my car now, so I’m not sure I will go to coil overs, maybe just a rear sway bar to correct the understeer.

Then again I find coil overs sexy.

No sex here, but a rear swaybar is highly recommended by this old fart. Also a set of IE fixed camber plates & some H-Sport rear arms. That there made my MINI a whole lot of fun through the twisties. Don't forget a nice alignment & nice sticky rubber. :Stig:
