Seafoam is not going to clean carbon out of your engine. The only thing that will do that is walnut blasting. At the mileage you have I'd say carbon is a pretty safe bet. There is an extended warranty on the HPFP. You might want to check with your dealer.

Bitsy Mae doesn't have an issue starting in the cold, however, she does sound a bit rough/more ticky than normal. I'm bringing her to the dealership saturday and I'll ax them to check it out. I'm hoping that since these engines are rather loud running normally that shes ok and just as pissed about being out in the cold as I am.

Made an appointment with MINI of Nashville. They changed the HPFP at no charge and it took care of the issue. They also said I had other things to be concerned with.
1. Vacuum pump and hoses. Cost $1.020.00. The said it could damage turbo if not replaced.
2. Water pump starting to leak. Cost $810.00
3. Passenger side axle seal. Cost $1,780.00 most of which is labor (12.6 hrs) because they said they had to remove transmission.
I took it to a import repair shop which was recommended to me by a friend with a BMW. He replaced the vacuum pump and hoses, which he bought from dealer, for $661.00.
I also asked him to look at the other 2 items and see what he thought. He said water pump does need replacing and he'll do it for $410.00. Doing that next week. He said we just need to keep an eye on axle seal, could have been something just leaked on to it.
I guess I'm satisfied. Any comments or advice? Thanks -

Axle seals on those are pretty common....But you dont have to remove the trans...Maybe for the rear main seal ....??..
