That's what I'm running. Crazy sticky tire when it's over 40-45 degrees out. Not so much when it's under that. Luckily Rufus is a fun car for me, so he stays safely tucked away in the cold months (or disassembled and in bits while work is in progress). I just started using 215 width (I had heard of some rubbing issues with 215s with my wheels and coil-overs, but I bought a spare in a 215 and it fit just fine, so I'm calling it good.

I'm going to reiterate the sentiment someone posted above... This is a volunteer event. When you give your time and effort to MOTD, you get much more back in return. If everyone would find an hour or two to give to the event... handing out bags at registration, running a drive, whatever, it makes the event that much more fun for everyone (and you will make some great friends along the way).

It's so easy to put your car on the track these days. Back in the day to do that you had to build a race car to go on track. These days you show up in your street car-toy car & have at it. Is this a great age we live in or what?-

I usually stay in a cabin with some friends from Dallas and they always had a stream of folks through the cabin for evening drinks and a good campfire on dry evenings. They had to bail this year for some other event, so I picked up the cabin and found a roommate to take on their room. I need to try and be more social this year in the evenings because my normal social network will be gone!-

Well, home and safe from “Colin’s Epic mini MOTD Adventure!” Huge thank you to my understanding wife and 4 sons! Thanks to all the great people I met. On the way home to Ohio, I hit the “Gambler” to Hot Springs, NC and the New River Gorge in Lansing, WV. Both of those were nice and fun, but not the Dragon. Here is a last fun pic from 129photos.com: (notice the 3 wheeling. Hee hee)

Thanks for all of the invites! MOTD isn't lacking for social opportunities... I just tend to be an introvert unless I push myself outside of my usual world. I've got a stockpile of cigars at home and I haven't smoked one in a long while (though I've kept my humidifier going, so they should be OK). I've also got a new bottle of Rua, a Charlotte area single malt, that needs to be opened!

I have always said the Jeff. It’s MINI’s on the Dragon, not people. I don’t care if you bring 3 people in one car, we would only count cars.
Barry started the counting people crap.
‘FYI - MOTD was an adult event with beer olympic’s and other adult stuff. Now we have to be all PC because people have kids that need safe places.
eff that! Don’t come by my cabin.-

Guys, come on. This thread started like 14 years ago to just let other MINI owners know how many MINIacs and MINIs will be down at the Dragon. This is supposed to be fun, just like the event and all the fun drives.....I heard many people say that they don’t even drive the Dragon much......that is not my thing, I have over 10,000 miles on the Dragon in my 2005 R50!

I used to run a large drive (40-50 cars) in the Dallas area every year and the last minute cancellations/arrivals were a PITA as the restaurants wanted to charge per person that they prepare for... not for how many actually show up.
You are right, though... for many drives, one more car tacked on to the end balances out with the car or two who had to cancel due to travel delays, mechanical failures or oversleeping after a few too many at the brew swap (which was almost an issue for me one year... the hangover from being drafted onto a beer pong team made for a very unpleasant first hour to the group drive I was leading the next morning).-
