Message from Barry this morning (personally, I'll be skipping the welcome/goodbye dinners, as usual. social distancing, folks! I'll probably skip the brew swap as well in favor of some beers or some single malt around a campfire):
As of today (March 14th 2020), we still plan on having the event. Unless there is direct order from either Fontana Village, the CDC, State of NC, or some other authority that has jurisdiction.
This is an ever evolving situation that requires diligence on everyone's part. From cleaning your hands & stopping hand shaking to cleaning your homes and your MINIs, we can all do our part of stopping this virus.
If you feel sick or if you're at risk for underlying health concerns, please do not attend the event.
Aaron's Note: For those not in NC, the NC Governor has suggested canceling meetings where 250 or more attendees will be in close proximity to each other (mid week... 3/12 or so), but it is NOT a demand/order at this time.

All I can say is WOW! We have a truly wonderful MOTD family! A family truly willing to give at a time when giving is so hard for some of us! Huge thank you to those that donated to the Graham County Food Bank! Stay safe!
The message from Barry’s email:
“Last Weekend (closing Sunday April 12th)
To Purchase the Commemorative Shirts & Grill Badge
and
Make a Donation to the Graham County Food Bank
As of now we have collected $3,173 for the Graham County Food bank. While that is less than half of our usual donation. I think it's still pretty good under the circumstances. I know these are tough times for many of us, but if you are able, we will taking donations over this weekend, before sending in our check on Monday.”
And here is the link to donate or purchase:

You obviously have never driven down on the Dragon with me. Anyone who has, has constantly commented on how safe and smooth of a driver I am. And then commented that an R50 shouldn’t be able to be that quick while being that under controlled. Even sheriffs and state troopers have commented about my safe driving! If anyone is being a yahoo or driving above their abilities around me, I simply pull over and let them go. I am happy to discuss how to drive the Dragon safely for themselves and others at either end of the Dragon. This weekend during the afternoons the Dragon got busy, not the time to be going fast......pulled out my hammock and took a nap. 15 years and well over 10,000 miles of driving on the Dragon, I’ve seen a lot of what you are talking about, but to comment on a safe pic of me being clearly on my side of the road, clearly not another car or motorcycle even in the frame......please.

Certainly hope to see you next year! Hope in 2021 the world is heading in a better direction than now.
I understand your feelings about things, heck I’ve stopped and talked with many drivers, trying to help them be safer for themselves as well as safer to those around them.
Very sincerely, thanks and stay safe! See you soon.-

As long as it does not get up to the 10th anniversary year size it will be fine. 800+ people was too many.
