I wish a bunch of kids come and they make everyone be quiet after 6PM. And they need to also not let any loud MINIs in the village! Also they should make people drive slow.:D

    Come on 300!

    262 people and 186 MINIs!

(and Dave stop being such a grump! We avg about 800 people and 600 MINIs. MOTD 10 had 1115 people and 772 MINIs, yes Fontana was a little full, but still a blast!)

    I concur. It's not POTD, it's MOTD.

I think I was the first! They usually post the first few to register, but I guess if you're not with the in-crowd (people who put eyelashes on their MINI's) they don't post who it was (if you hang out at Dave.0's cabin:D).

You don't "have" to smoke a cigar or so at my venue...just being able to unwind after driving all day is pretty much what the Cigar Salon is all about. As for being introverted, I guess you and I share another similar trait: I can go to a party, sit in a corner and watch the world go by all night...and have the time of my life.

The emphasis should be on the number of cars and not the number of people attending, or the venue should be renamed. It's a MINI and people event, but it seems as if there is more emphasis on the people attending than the vehicles for which the event was named...or are we promoting a true "clown car event" [some MINIs stuffed with a great number of people]?

No kids at the Dragon, we are not your baby sitters. Plus we already have the LXM babies crying about everything.

Why don't YOU do it, or would that cut into your "all-day-on-the-Dragon" style?

Oh well, I just thought a change of scenery might give you a break and something new to enjoy. It's always good to volunteer at something down there besides getting drunk with Dave.O and the guys and tearing up the Dragon. For example, that's why I do the Cigar Salon, Wednesday night, right after the Welcome dinner, on the Porch. It's free and the participants have fun, enjoy some cigars and even, gasp, drink. I've done the Dragon 17 years, and not just once in and once out, but have also done a crapload of drives, too. MKO started "Midnight on the Dragon" as well as the "Cigar Salon".

You know That is not far off what I was thinking. Give the little ones some rags and put them to work washing minis. Its's a win win. People get clean minis the kids learn something and are kept busy. A side benefit is they will sleep well at night. So no one will complain about the rest of us being loud:D

I hope I will make it

I have no problem giving kids beer and teaching the spare words and how to play with fire. I may hold a class to teach them what a “whale” is (F56) versus a real MINI (R53).

That way they car run up and down Vendor row yelling ‘Your drive a Whale and you drive a Whale” ! Hahahaha

Yeah, trust me with your little kids. Lmao

Keep checking at Fontana ...people always cancel for one reason or another, while others seem to find room for "one more".
