Speaking of kids, one year they had “Little Dragons”. A day camp for kids! Pamalala organized it and it was a helpful thing for parents! If someone wanted to organize this again, contact Barry!
I know the perfect person for the job!! @Dave.0 We will call him uncle Dave! Kind of like uncle Buck! Sorry I couldn't help myself
So sorry, that would differently cut into my Dragon Runs! I tend to do 60 runs a MOTD! Plus it might cut into my evenings of drunkenness!!!!! Lol
Oh well, I just thought a change of scenery might give you a break and something new to enjoy. It's always good to volunteer at something down there besides getting drunk with Dave.O and the guys and tearing up the Dragon. For example, that's why I do the Cigar Salon, Wednesday night, right after the Welcome dinner, on the Porch. It's free and the participants have fun, enjoy some cigars and even, gasp, drink. I've done the Dragon 17 years, and not just once in and once out, but have also done a crapload of drives, too. MKO started "Midnight on the Dragon" as well as the "Cigar Salon".
You know That is not far off what I was thinking. Give the little ones some rags and put them to work washing minis. Its's a win win. People get clean minis the kids learn something and are kept busy. A side benefit is they will sleep well at night. So no one will complain about the rest of us being loud I hope I will make it
I have no problem giving kids beer and teaching the spare words and how to play with fire. I may hold a class to teach them what a “whale” is (F56) versus a real MINI (R53). That way they car run up and down Vendor row yelling ‘Your drive a Whale and you drive a Whale” ! Hahahaha Yeah, trust me with your little kids. Lmao
Keep checking at Fontana ...people always cancel for one reason or another, while others seem to find room for "one more".
I'm going to reiterate the sentiment someone posted above... This is a volunteer event. When you give your time and effort to MOTD, you get much more back in return. If everyone would find an hour or two to give to the event... handing out bags at registration, running a drive, whatever, it makes the event that much more fun for everyone (and you will make some great friends along the way).
451 people and 316 MINIs! Seeing some names on the “who’s going so far” list that I’m so excited to see again! https://www.minisonthedragon.com/2020-whosgoing.php
Since you are so "into" running the Dragon all day, you REALLY should consider volunteering to do "Midnight on the Dragon". MKO [MINI Coopers Offline] used to do it regularly, but I don't think it's being done anymore. Chad [of Detroit Tuned] would know, and it would be great if it was run again. Just sayn, and you could experience the Dragon at night.
