Had a blast yesterday with many new and old friends at our “mini” MOTD! A few of us got some awesome night time Dragon Runs in! Then we stayed at the Comfort Inn in Maryville last night. Well they did.....I stayed in the parking lot! Lol

Well, home and safe from “Colin’s Epic mini MOTD Adventure!” Huge thank you to my understanding wife and 4 sons! Thanks to all the great people I met. On the way home to Ohio, I hit the “Gambler” to Hot Springs, NC and the New River Gorge in Lansing, WV. Both of those were nice and fun, but not the Dragon. Here is a last fun pic from 129photos.com: (notice the 3 wheeling. Hee hee)

So much credibility for saying "always within the lines and the speed limits".

I think we all bend the rules a bit. Heck I even did that on my way to & from the grocateria this morning. While I was there I went up the down isle & down the up one. :Sneaky:

Edit > Forgot to mention I had the shopping trolley on three wheels a couple of times. Sorry no pics, where's Kill Boy when you need him? ;)

Now hold on, NEVER OVER YELLOW CENTER LINE, EVER! That white line...fair game! Lots of extra room on my side of the road! Speed limit......always driving within my MINI’s and my driving ability and always at a safe and social distancing speed!

Agree 100% stay away and never cross the yellow line on the dragon. The white line is just telling if you go much farther and bad things could happen quickly.

On 3 wheels is NOT "at a safe and social distancing speed". If you are carrying that much speed and going over the white [inside] line, on a curve, on 3 wheels while on a public highway, and then bragging about it and taking pics as well, there is something wrong with that kind of thinking. You're not a kid anymore. You have " an understanding wife and 4 kids"...WHY jeopardize them if you were to crash or cross the other line, as well as any driver coming from the opposite direction on the other side of the curve?

You obviously have never driven down on the Dragon with me. Anyone who has, has constantly commented on how safe and smooth of a driver I am. And then commented that an R50 shouldn’t be able to be that quick while being that under controlled. Even sheriffs and state troopers have commented about my safe driving! If anyone is being a yahoo or driving above their abilities around me, I simply pull over and let them go. I am happy to discuss how to drive the Dragon safely for themselves and others at either end of the Dragon. This weekend during the afternoons the Dragon got busy, not the time to be going fast......pulled out my hammock and took a nap. 15 years and well over 10,000 miles of driving on the Dragon, I’ve seen a lot of what you are talking about, but to comment on a safe pic of me being clearly on my side of the road, clearly not another car or motorcycle even in the frame......please.

When rounding a curve on the Dragon on 3 wheels even when a white line is involved, can you ALWAYS be sure that someone will not be screaming towards you from the other side? If so, then, I doubt if even YOUR "vast" experience will help either of you. That's a risk I shall NEVER take and I "obviously have never driven down on the Dragon with" you and doubt if I ever want that "pleasure"...or, is it "pressure"?.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about concerning the Dragon. Thank you for your concern. You have a nice day. Stay safe.

Yeah, right. That's why I drove to and from the Dragon from the Fall of 2004 until 2018, including ALL of the MOTDs to that point as well as a double dose in 2007. I've seen more than my share of nutsos on and off the Dragon. YOU stay safe.

Someone got a wild hair up their ass!

It's a MINI. You don't have to be doing the speed limit to raise a rear tire driving the dragon.

I am always safe. And have helped a number of unsafe drivers through the years. If you have been down to the Dragon then you know what goes on down there. You also know that I’m not “bragging about it and taking pics as well”......129photos.com is the one taking pics......Let’s sit down at next year’s MOTD and chat about this silly discussion. You have a good day.

Colin Your the only one that drives like that!:D Seems like I remember a picture of a red mini with a black roof with a wheel in the air, it had a black R58 with it.......before I owned it.......I would never do such:D I think every one knows you can drive faster than 35MPH and be safe. I am just glad one of us got to go to the Dragon. My son and I may go in June when the S2000 group is on the Dragon. I am going to to see if later this month I can sneak over there for a day with my son. I will drive to Murfreesboro spend the night with him then the next day make a run. There are a lot of twisty roads between his apartment and the Dragon.

You always go back to that "if you have been down to the Dragon" crap. You seem to think I have not been there, and THAT is real crap. I spend the WHOLE time at MOTD, driving, and have since 2005 thru 2017. My first time to the Dragon was in the Fall of 2004, and even though it was not MOTD, I still spent almost a week there...driving.

Gee...a group of 15 guys at the Dragon last week...NO face masks, and NO social distancing. When you got back to Ohio, did YOU quarantine yourself for 14 days [like you are supposed to do when you leave Ohio and then come back from other states], or is that just more "crap" and does not apply to you?
