A dear friend, Steve started this thread many, many years ago. Need to keep the tradition. 285 people, 208 MINIs..... Come on 300!
New people are not driving enthusiasts they are more LXM type people that consider “stickers” as mods.
This LXM (BC only: not affiliated with the overall bigger LXM organization.) member has a few minor mods on his car. But also realizes his car has more potential than his driving skill. Also has a few stickers referring to said mods but placed in subtle locations.
I don’t know why people ever put mod stickers on their car. It’s like advertising “I have lots of cool expensive parts, come steal my car”
Dave, all people have to do is take one look at your car without any stickers and they will want to steal it !!!!
Most people don't know what those stickers mean anyways. Pretty sure my car is faster by at least a 10th.
Hi everyone. I might be interested in going. Can you point me to information on the event and also where to stay? Thanks
here you go! https://minisonthedragon.com Its a lot of fun, all the roads over there are fun. The Dragon is fun during the week. Weekends there is too many people. If its your first time take it easy and read the Driving the Dragon section.
Go to the MOTD website and look at accommodations and see if they have anything open at Fontana. That’s where everything happens.
What @Dave.0 said. Also tell them your with a mini on the Dragon. It will help get a room or be put on the waiting list. Most years my son and I camped out once we stayed in the Motorcycle Resort, last year I stayed at Fontana.
I like staying at the Tuskegee Motel on Rt. 28. When not out driving I generally hang out at Fontana, but the Tuskegee motel has a great front porch that I can sit and watch convoys of MINIs going past. It is like a rolling car show.
I've always thought that place looked like an interesting place to stay. I've seen your car there before if I'm not mistaken.
