I had a great time shooting with the "Denver/Chicago" contingent on Saturday afternoon...I encourage you folks to go find a shotgun shooting club back home and go have more fun! Glad you were able to enjoy my shotgun and help me put some shells through it! See you next year...
Sorry I missed out on that one, next year though... The Convoy is about to reunite outside of St. Louis (had a long rest break), and head home. I would rather not see this trip come to a close, but all good things must come to an end.
EPIC journey Versus, please do join us next year on the field! (Deep dish on us/ the Chicago/Denver contingency) and it was great to meet you and your family!!! and thank you so much clifforddward for all your hospitality at the range! We had a BLAST !!!! Now on the road again from St Louis..... and LOL we are now a Convoy!!!
Sure did have some fun in Dick's Jeep going places one doesn't normally drive at Fontana. Was great to meet y'all too. No longer just online friends now.
One of the best comments of the weekend from the night security guard when Dick and Dave.0 crested the hill and bounced into the parking lot just below vendor row ..."okay, you did it once....don't do it again".
Well its official, the 2014 Colorado Convoy is over. Now to get a little deep for all the convoy members... (Dont get all teary eyed, I'm still the same old Dick) It is extremely hard for me to say goodbye, or even to tell people how I feel, but I can type it out, so here goes... Live to remember, never to forget. You all who where strangers, and mere acquaintances a few months ago now have a new friend. One that will always be there no matter what, never turn their back, and will do his best to help if ever needed. You gave me the opportunity to have the best time of my life in the last 9 years, and I did just that. Given everything I have been through, I find it very hard to be comfortable around people, yet with the three of you, it was like we have known each other for years. I want to thank you for giving me a new outlook on my life, and something to look foreword to. Material items only mean so much when you get down to it, but it is the memories and happiness that means the most. I cant wait until we make the Colorado Convoy in 2015!
Dick, this truly was an EPIC journey... for all of us! I/we are so touched!!! to have acquired another family member, and now we have the perfect location to hold our annual family vacation!!! Minis on the Dragon!!!!!
We love you too brother. I thank God for the time together. I would like to give you a set of boots for June and I look forward to the memories we have yet to create.
It was nice meeting the Convoy crew. Glad to have meet you all and acquired new friends. See ya next year.
I just realized something... If you take every highway we took to the Dragon (70, 64, 57, 24, 40, 129) add them together, then divide that amount by 3 (The number of vehicles staying at the Colorado House) you come up with 128! Looks like we are missing one for next year...
