Regarding the "oil pressure gauge" that doesn't actually measure oil pressure.... I gather the later Tritec lump (my car is a 2005 Cooper S) is quite a strong and reliable unit, so I'm probably worrying unnecessarily, but mine is on 105K miles, and I'm minded to fit an oil pressure switch with a higher activating pressure than standard - maybe 12 or 15 psi - just for a little extra peace of mind. Has anyone done this, and if so, would they care to tell me what car/engine it was intended to fit?
I put gages in my R55 from Cravenspeed. They have gages and adaptors for series one MINIs. https://www.cravenspeed.com/dial-gauge-kit/ Their gages match the standard MINI gages.
