Well it is obvious he did not have his Chiquita tires on. What was he thinking? Bet that is going to cost a lot of banana money to fix. OUCH!

It's nice to see he had one of those front bras on. Keeps the paint chips off, don't you know....

Man, you guys are heartless - that driver could well have been severely injured by the return swing of his chest medallion.

Wait, you say even Corvette drivers don't wear those anymore? The world is going to pieces, I tells ya. There's nothing you can rely on anymore....

    Traction Control ??? What ???

What are they talking about ? What is traction control? It must be that thing I turned off because I'm a great driver and "I know what I'm doing"
***********I don't need no stinking "Traction Control"****************

Mine is off all the time. Hate those damn electronic nannies....

One can crash a car with all the nannies working. Nannies do not replace skill & judgement. Happens all the time.

Electronic Nannies have their place but, should a professional driver need or use them when racing?

Don't think those nannies are available to professional drivers in most racing series. That Vette driver was far from a professional me thinks.

LOL wasn't saying he was but in F1 the drivers have electronic nannies... ;)

Guess I should have saved the comment for the F1 thread.

Really, no traction control, no stability control. Do they have ABS? Me thinks not. In the past they had every conceivable aide even active suspension, but no more.

Fill me in if I don't understand correctly please.

Albeit they don't have traction control, ABS and such anymore, but they do have Kerrs and DRS along with tons of instant data management, which I would think to be considered electronic aids...

Hey but that comes from a guy who still thinks race car drivers should actually have to shift the gears instead of tapping a paddle on the steering wheel...lol:rolleyes:

I wholeheartedly agree with you. Clutches & shifters FTW! I see KERRS & DRS more as a hindrance than an aide. That being said we'd have had a lot less passing this year without those blasted things.

True but less Aero dependance might have done the same thing?

What are you talking about, Angib??? We can TOTALLY rely on Corvette and Mustang drivers slamming into all manner of immovable things from now until, well, they teach Americans to drive...

    :biggrin5:
