I think that will be the most intersting thing for me with the Countryman. What will the split be on FWR vs. AWD? Can't wait to see pics of the green and white one, that was the color I liked best when using the configurator.

Allen, from what I have read it seems to be mostly a fwd until slippage is detected then it shifts up to 50% rearward. Pretty much the same as the Skooby awd with an automagic. The main thing is how fast it can detect the slippage & react accordingly.

Not bad. Doesn't the sun roof weigh a couple hundred?

I read the extra weight is close to 300lbs. Plus whatever add ons like 18's and the sunroof. All in all maybe 6-700lb difference

Yes a sunroof adds a lot of weight right were it does the most harm. As high up as a Countryman is I'm not sure I'd want extra weight up there, but that is just me. Adding stuff can raise the weight, but who is really going to worry about that in an SUV, even a small one.

I meant I wonder how many FWD will they sell vs AWD sold. Will people buy it for the space or the AWD?

Also how long before Rally gets one to rub on the ground :) I hope for every lowered one someone finds a way to lift one a jacked up MINI just sounds fun to me, I am picturing one tall enough to crush one of those ugly slant roof BMW SUV's!

We will know what the top weighted one feels like on Wednesday. We will let you know if it lays on it's side.

This is our CM ALL4 S, right after cleanup. Still needs PDI, so is sitting a little high on the spring blocks.

We will be waiting on some bits, this is the first CM at MOL, ours got here before their DEMO units. :beer

The Chrome Mirror Caps will be the first thing gone, real soon.

I was just about to tell you I liked the mirror caps :) If you could swap all that chrome stuff with stuff that matches your wheels that would look really nice. Great looking car though congrats!!

Old81 - I also like the chrome mirror caps. Our Cosmic Blue/White will have all the exterior chrome bits but with silver wheels.

Woah! Really? I customer ordered mine and they didn't charge me a dime. Gave the sales guy the specs he ordered it to spec. Mine was ordered 11/07/2009; Built 11/13/2009; Delivered 12/28/2009.

I'm liking the color combo on the countryman. Green with the black is nice. I agree on getting rid of the chrome mirror caps. Good stuff!

Yes, those Chrome caps will be boxed and OX Green matching will get installed in a week or so.

First driving impression, the CM is bigger, but does not feel excessively big. It gets up and goes when you push the pedal.

Last nights cruise at 79-80 was holding at 22 hundred, but I have to vary RPM and speed during the break-in.

I am applying the racers version of breaking in the CM, get a few varied miles then drive it like it will be driven daily.

Since it will be Pat's driver, I imagine we will wait a few more miles before I can get it on the track. :aureola:

As for top heavy, a bit with the big sun-roof, but not terrible, I did not get it to tip over on the one stretch of twisty I found on the way home.

And I did manage not to rev. over 5K more than a few times. :prrr:
