My wife ordered the CountryMan S All4 today...Production tomorrow...Delivery in December:beer

 

Well, the online MINIUSA website is showing the Countryman ALL4 S is in production, this should be fun.

My wife's biggest beef with the MINI is the rearview mirror. Plain and simple she hates it. There's lots of complaints about not just the size but also the positioning of it and how it obstructs you view of traffic lights, etc. I was wondering if the Countryman has improved on the rearview mirror in any way.

 

Does your order include Mini Connected or Nav? My R60 MCS All4 order is still listed as "On Order" and my config includes Mini Connected with Nav.

 

Guess I will have to look, I just ignore the fact the windshield angle makes lights hard to see, thus I stop back a few feet from the intersection. :rolleyes5:

I know that drives the folks behind a bit nuts. ut:

I will check it out when we get the Countryman.

No MINI Nav or Connected, it is too iphone centric for me. Sad because it had some interesting features.

I will continue to look this week, I will have to ask my dealer to get me the VIN when it is assigned. Not sure how detailed ol.miniusa tracking will be since the factory is in Austria.

Our MCS Countryman ALL4 Order...

Having just found this forum, thought I would post this here as well.

We ordered our MCS Countryman All4 on October 14th. Owner's Lounge still states "On Order". Dealer advised me that my order was #1 at their dealership. Time will tell I guess.

Owners' Lounge reports as On Order.

ASK-MINI states that my order is scheduled for production but no date has been assigned yet.

My dealer states that my order shows to be starting production in week 45 which would be the week of November 8th.

I'll side with the dealer...

See if your MINI dealer GM/SM or MA will pull you a Vehicle Inquiry: Status based on Prod. number or last 7 of the assigned VIN. :aureola:

My dealer pulled, then copied the 1 page report to a pdf for me then e-mailed it.

Ours is in status 150 (In production) as of 10/21/2010

Estimated end production date is 11/3/2010 going thru the line.

I do wish the online ol.miniusa would give us this status, I remember my 07 had better status updates via ol.miniusa. :confused5:

I have my original VIR from date of order and at that time was status 111 Order Accepted.

Dealer emailed me Monday and said production was scheduled for week 45.

Asked for updated VIR this morning but no response yet. I know some of them are in Austin for training today.

 

I plan on bugging my GM or MA at least for a weekly status. The online does not give me much.

I wonder if MINI will put up a live webcam for Countryman going down the line in Austria.

Good luck on your status updates, It will be interesting to see how the ships go from Austria and what port of departure.

Thinking about it, the new location may not be set up yet to provide all the information that Oxford can. It may take a bit to get all the information we now expect to get up and running.

Per my dealer contact our Countryman is in the paint shop, going fast, but I expect the 3rd might be a push.

Wife made the comment they could slow down and apply a little more quality on her Countryman.

More if I hear it.

Is Bremerhaven the usual port for BMW?

 

Mr. Bickles is out of production and waiting for assignment on his cruise ship.

 

Not trying to hijack this thread, but does anyone know when the US Configurator is going to be up for the Countryman? The release date for the US seems to be a moving target. I've been on the UK site to play around with different configurations but using a US configuator would be much better.
