    Whatever the ultimate motivation for the recognition, I have to believe that the Roadster would/will be a more legitimate and logical contender than the Coupe.

    Yes you are jaded & so am I. It's a finalist of advertiser of the year. If one looks back at past cars of the years it is a real hoot.

    Disclaimer, I like the MINI coupe just fine. :)

    I agree. MT's COTY lost all relevance to the cars a long time ago. It's nothing more than an advertising gimmick anymore, IMHO.
