Gee Paul, that's a good question. But I suppose the better question would be this: does the guy who's going to facilitate installation want fresh beer or fresh cookies in lieu of remuneration?

PS- Fedex arrives on Wed April 6. :D

I have 06 and oem Cat went bad, took it to dealer they agreed to change cat/header and under warranty. Still plan to get RMW Shorty after MINI replaces oem parts.

Did yours throw codes? I'll call the dealership and see, but I don't think I have a shot at a warranty claim.

Showing up with a six pack seems kinda silly when the man has a kegerator in his garage, hence the cookie option. But if he was out, beer would almost be a necessity. The math is different when he has a working tap handle in the garage. :D

    It's worth a shot...
The cat controls the emissions and that has a longer warranty time period due to Federal regulations...

Kalifornia............has a tougher emissions warranty than the other states. It's 10yrs 100k miles vs the other states

I'm not sure what is meant by "high temp minis" Tuned correctly it should all be about the same temp. My after market cat has been in since 2008 no problems yet... Mileage may vary i guess.
Ben you have the same fix i do but with a much better cat, I am anxious to hear how you like it.

I'd personally rather see a good, solid explanation of it here so everyone can benefit.
