Hi Holly:
I'm a R53 guy so don't have an exact car to compare for diagnosing your problem...but as nobody else has commented I'll give my thoughts.
The hoses you pointed to/circled appear more like vacuum hoses to me, unlikely to be the source of your fluid spray...but if disconnected they do need to be addressed.
The first thing I'd do is refill the antifreeze and add some leak detector...that way you can use an ultraviolet light to locate the source....And I'd also put a pressure tester on the system...that in combination with the leak detector will make short work of finding the source of the trouble. If you're not much of a gear head you may not have these tools, but at least now you'll know what the shop is going to use to find your problem....so you can speak intelligently with them as they diagnose things.
I would think they should be about to diagnose it without taking the car apart....if they say they need to pull it down just to source things, that would be a red flag.
Wishing you the best...let us know how you make out...
Best Regards,
Cliff

I cannot be of help, as my MINIs are all Generation Ones, BUT...there are plenty of the newer generation owners here who will give you the advice/solution you need. -

Thank you for looking. Hopefully someone with that generation will know. Everything is so compact it is hard to get a good picture.

Yes it is packed in there. I will look at the Bentley manual later today and see what I can find. We have two Gen2 Minis and one Gen 1. Is yours an bace, S, or JCW?

The mini is a "S" model.

This is the piece it is connected to if that helps.

Under the back part. I would like to know so that when I go to the repair shop, I am familiar with the problem.

Now that I think of it your mini may be covered for a thermostat recall. Go here and put your vin number in or call MINIUSA.
