That's what I do. I keep my front plate under the passenger floor mat. When I park in Columbus (the Short North) I will get a ticket guaranteed, unless I lay it on top of my dash.

No, I mounted my plate in the center of the bumper a year ago and just found this piece laying around when I cleaned my shop. I lasted 1 day without a front plate before I got pulled over by the Powell Police. MM, this works on your bumper.

I made my own out of Stainless Steel. Attaches in the threaded hole for the front tow hook.

I go without a front plate, though there is a law that requires it, it is not vigorously enforced. I have a 1980 MG that has never had a front plate on it and I haven't got a ticket for it.
