FES is run by Matt Rickter, spell check, who was once very highly respected in the Mini community, that got sick of the fighting and BS that is ever present in all the Mini forums. Just look at the stupitidty over on MT now, sad just sad.

This is par for the course, as guilty as I've been in these arguments in the past, even I'm tired of the predictable way these turn out.

I stand by what I said though--the NS1 doesn't belong in an MCS, it's not worth going from stock. Cams are icing on the cake anyway; they aren't the cake itself. You're talking about more than one mod, which is what the majority of people wind up doing; you have to think of it as a system--how those parts are going to work together, not what each individual part is going to do, it just doesn't come together well with that approach. The NS1 on its own--not so good. But where it's really going to leave you high and dry is as part of a series of mods--some work and play well together better than others.

Call Jan. You have an idea of what you want your car to do, tell him your budget, and he'll show you the best way to get there. It's possible that May include skipping a cam altogether--if you don't need something, he'll tell you. If you do, he'll tell you the best option for your application. He's talked me out of as many parts as I've bought, and saved me money and headaches in the process.

We have to be nice to each other or Ohio is going to run out of Nitro paste...
