Hope all of our friends/family in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area are OK. Big tornados, high winds, and lot's of damage.

If you are in that area, duck. It's a coming.

Ye...I've had WFAA.com on in a small window all afternoon.

Quite the mess. Hope all have escaped damage!

It's been fun. I'm down here this week for training and they shuffled us all off to the hallways and basements. I'm just west of DFW. Some people that had gone outside saw baseball sized hail. Somehow our rental managed to not get hit.

So far all the MetroplexMINI peeps seems fine! It was kinda wild hiding in an "inside" lounge watching trucks (18 wheelers) fly through the air.

Sorry about the MINI, but glad everyone is OK... That video is nuts. Looked like it was hundreds of feet in the air at one point. Wouldn't want to be in the landing zone when it came back down. Yowch.

    Yep...

Jango took a hail-stone to the windshield, the passenger side a-pillar and at least a dozen places on sheet-metal.

He's got an appointment w/ the doc next week... didn't wanna miss the opportunity to do an oil change and some general work at the MINI of Dallas DIY day this weekend. :D

The bright side it wasn't some of that softball size hail that some of those storms produced, they would have taken out all the glass and the dash.

On a side note a bit of storm info, if you are ever in a very strong thunderstorm that has a tornado and hail with it, if you are in the hail core you usually safe from the twister, they generally move on parallel course with the hail one or two miles north of the funnel. FYI.

Yep. I'm happy and healthy and all of our local club members seem to have survived the storm. Overall, it's pretty good.

I did read this morning that a brand new Countryman (maybe 3-4 weeks off of the showroom floor) was hit by that grapefruit sized hail... windshield and sunroof are gone... every body panel has substantial damage and the interior is soaked.

On a better note... I wonder if a bunch of possible Lemons race cars will pop up now. With all of the dimples, you could call it the 'golf ball' and say that the dimples help with aerodynamics!

The first time I saw the video i thought it was just some debree flying through the air I could not believe that those were tractor trailers flying in the air like that. Reminds you of how strong mother nature is and when they give you the tornado warning that it is not a joke. I hope and pray that everyone in the area is safe and sound.
