What a great day! The drive was excellent. Only a couple of slow folks along the way. (you know you're going too slow when you're passed by a Prius)
The beer was smooth and the glasses were a great surprise.
Thanks Mark for all your work. I can't wait the the next one.

We were stuck in a line of cars at one point. There was this SUV doing about 10 under the speed limit. A Prius behind them yet in front of our little line, pulled out in the other lane, passing the SUV.

Cool web site and I love the label, BUT, it looks like they only make Ale. Is this the case? Mainly because I don'y normally care for Ale. Did anyone try the summer one they talk of? Witiebr, I believe they call it.

I found the Witiebr a bit too bitter for my tastes. I liked the Tripel the best & the Cask aged Tripel even better. Aged in whiskey barrels. :beer

Try it???? Heck I took 4 fresh bottles home with me! When I opened my garage refrigerator I found that I already had 6 bottles chilled and ready to enjoy.....I think I like that one:beer

mergemini New MemberAll of their beer is considered Belgian Beer. I wouldn't be afraid of the word "ALE" in this case. Due to the naturally filtered water source, they determined that the water properties were very similar to those found in Belgium.
As they do when they serve their flights, or offer tastings, you can start with the Witbier and work your way up. Order is the following:
Witbier
Saison
Dubble
Triple
Cask Aged Triple
They get a bit stronger as you go down the list and the alcohol percentage increases as well. The Cask Aged can turn any night into a GREAT night quickly! Rockmill is a rather unique beer, especially as it relates to being brewed in Ohio. The Witbier has the ability to convert non-beer drinkers to beer lovers.
Now, to not be confused with someone that may have a drinking problem, I have been fortunate enough to get to know the Rockmill team over the past year. When I coincidentally arrived at Rockmill on Saturday in my MINI, I was there to work. As you noticed, and participated in, it was a busy day on Saturday and they needed help serving, so Matt reached out and asked for my help (along with my wife and a friend of mine).
As I mentioned previously, I'm VERY disappointed I didn't start my morning with MOM prior to jumping in and being put to work at the brewery. I didn't leave until 8:30pm!! I will NOT miss the next one, and am looking forward to becoming an active member of the group! -
mergemini New MemberOhio only at the moment. They are working on their production to expand outside of Ohio, but are limited at the moment.
Here is a link that shows their current distribution:
