For those of you have completely abandoned the other forum :)cryin:), here's my new "dry carbon" dash and downtube look. It's 3M vinyl, and it looks and feels great.
I won't be putting it on the exterior, coz the texture does not match any exterior texture on my car, but it's great for the interior and matches the texture of my "CF" vinyl fabric rear seat delete cover.

+1 on the looks...I have a friend who is gonna do Hyper Blue Shift Boot and E-Brake boot for me...I live the Dry look tho...

    Top Notch!

Question - did you just take the Glove box door off or was that another Euro mod that we never saw here?

Yes, that is the Euro parcel shelf--both sides have parcel shelves. The driver side from the US and the passenger side from Europe. It gives a clean, simple look IMO.

    cheers,

I may be incorrect but there was a time about 3 years ago when these were available. Haven't seen one mentioned since, but, it's an aftermarket shift boot for a Hyundai Tiburon that has been slightly modded to fit.

Slightly modded like your car is slightly modded or.....?

Not sure what I want to do to my interior, maybe a faux suede dash (the top part). I don't want it to look cheesy/crappy though.

Need more time and money. duh. :(

That's correct. I posted a writeup on the other site about a long time ago on how to make these. But those shift boots are extremely hard to find. I don't use mine anymore. Unfortunately it's got a small tear on one side that bothers me though barely visible. I have a Craven Shift Well now with their SSK.

    That looks really cool.

I've been toying with the idea of painting my dash piano black.

Piano black would be cool. I was thinking about doing mine in plaid, it may be too much though. But I might do it in black and gray and keep it simple.

As Nathan says, the Tiburon shift boot is hard to find, but relatively easy to fit with some modification. I also like the Audi TT shift boot, but it requires a lot more modification and may not be worth it.
The cup holder is no longer available unfortunately. I recon they could have sold quite a few over the years just on my photos alone. There's a similar product being sold through a thread on NAM, but it's one piece, and expensive imho.

That is an interesting website you have there, I like the look of that dash, I have seen the vinyl CF at auto zone, and it looks kind of....whats the word..... tacky, is the M3 stuff any better. Again the auto zone stuff kinda looks like gray and black boxes with a little skew on them to give them a woven effect.
