I did the tach last night, all on my own, just needed someone to hold the flashlight
( i do recommend stuffing a microfiber towel into the cavity between the dash & the steering column) I dropped a torx screw in there and it took 20 min and a heavy magnet and underdash yoga to retrieve it

    as for the needle...

did you know that you can pull off the silver cap that covers the needle assembly? it's waaay easier than removing the entire needle assembly and the recalibration is a snap!

if you don't remove the needle at all.. just slide the gauge face on from the center of the face by 'threading the needle'

I'm just so proud of you Kelly! You did it on our own (with the help of a flash light holder)!!!

    Now please do mine... lol...

I need to rip my whole dash apart... time to re-wrap it!

So you folks with hardtops can see a difference with these?

I also had no idea that these were replacement lenses. I assumed it was an overlay material Lamin-X style.

I would say the difference would not be as dramatic in a tintop as it is for the vert, but still. Specially if your lenses are old, or scratched up from cleaning, it is well worth it.

OK, just curious, but where do you get these lenses and how much are they?

Lenses are still scratch free for the most part and are still in good shape. So I guess I will hold off for now.

    Thanks

I'll bet you can't touch it at that price from the stealers. And the oem doesn't have the A-R coating.:nonod:

I assume this is a film applied to the glass and therefore not a safety hazard.

    :rolleyes5:
