I've seen Darryl really work his S2000 around the dragon...he must have had someone in front slowing him down...:biggrin5: Incredible how the 18 wheeler almost took her out....I have been lucky that I have never encountered one on my many runs on the Dragon....for the life of me I can't understand why they don't outlaw 18 wheelers from 129....
My first run on the dragon (west to east) we came across a semi headed east-to-west. That was hairy. I thought they HAD banned semi's from that section of US-129, in TN or NC anyway.
They are only banned from the NC side. Stupid TN will not ban them just because they are TN. :mad2::mad2::mad2:
Darryl was driving slow so he could film the MINI. I hate those rigs on the Dragon, it's scary as hell when you encounter one. :eek6:
Probably my favorite video on the Dragon. Saw this sometime around my first trip up there. Sadly I always forget to play that track while I'm up there.
Was it my imagination or was there some seriously frank language in that video? When I was watching it my wife walked through and commented "what did they just say in that video"? we listened to it a few times and shrugged our shoulders....it had a slight hip-hop vibe and I think that's kind of par for the course with that type of "music"....:blush2:
The background music/sound that you hear in the "Hip-hop" version is taken from Woodstock, circa 1969. I will hazard a guess and say many of our members weren't around then. The "Fish Cheer" was definitely frank and explicit.
Wow, guys that's not even close to hip hop. The group is called "Death In Vegas" it says so at the start of the video. Based on a Wikipedia search they're considered a psychedelic rock & electronic rock band hailing from London, England. Now this specific track sounds more like "trip-hop" which could explain the electronic rock designation. This makes sense because trip-hop was started in England. Just because there are samples doesn't make it hip-hop. I get that it's not for everyone but no need to lump it into a category it's not apart of. End music rant, back to Dragon love fest.
That's like saying nothing good came after pizza. I doubt you'd want that all day, every day. Broaden your horizons. Based on this... ...it looks like you've got an opinion on the topic. Not that you have to listen to it, but painting anything with a broad stroke isn't the best way to look at things.
