Add all the latest to the Detailing Acronyms Library article.

I don't know if there is supposed to be some sort of order to these so I have the table auto-sort in alpha-numeric by column 1.

Let me know if they need some other grouping please.

It's replacement term for the word carp. As in there is carp all over my car.

dirt; filth; garbage.

Origin: 1965–70; < Yiddish shmuts or G Schmutz, MHG smuz; cf. smudge, smut, ME bismotered bespattered, soiled

Has many uses...

Such as the doting Aunt... "Come here honey, you have a bissel of schmutz on your face." where she proceeds to lick her finger and then "wash" the offending bit off your face followed by the obligatory cheek pinch while exclaiming how cute you are.

Or your mother after being called in from playing outside ... "Get over to that sink right now young man and wash that schmutz off our hands and face before sitting at my dinner table!" Often accompanied with a swift kick in the tuchus.

Maybe used ina sentance will help.

Dive a MINI down a dirt road and your tuchus will covered with schumtz.
