I've used the Mother's brand. I prefer it to the one I bought from Griots. You can pick up the Mother's clay bar at Advanced Auto parts. If you decide to try bug N tar remover be careful, it contains abrasives. I use straight kerosene or WD40 to remove tar spots.

Yea... so I went to advanced last week and asked the guy where I could find clay bar and he just looks at me like I'm a complete idiot and goes, "clay what? Never heard of it." Needless to say I left without any.

Ha yea; I was not pleased when I left. My dad has always noticed that I have a short fuse with stupid people (even when I was a little kid) and has always told me that I don't suffer fools well but fools are everywhere so I may as well learn to be patient. Does seem to be my luck though; probably b/c I drive a foreign car when I live out in the country.

Seth, I've got some clay bar you can use. I'll bring it to the next donuts and we'll give it a try.

I figured it out on the way there. Yes they have a guy. He won't be there that day.

I did ask if they would be interested in having a group in for dent removal part with a discount. He said he would talk to the dent guy to see what they could come up with. For reference they quoted $130 for the bullet dent.

Since Chuck has tried several times to get a group buy dent day going unsuccessfully maybe we could try & get one going up there. Skooby has a couple that I'd like to get ironed out. I need to get a friendly price if I'm going to do it.

I would be also interested in this. A PDR guy would be great as I have several dents in the "New MINI" that need attending to.

Well to be able to work a good discount we need to show them we can bring a crowd. So lets make a good showing at the detailing event on 3/2.

Nick, what is the agenda on the 2nd. Is it a demonstration or a sales pitch? (or both)

Just remembered that there is a PDR guy at the dragon. I like his work & he is a nice fellow. Think I'll have him do his magic on Skooby.

I'm still up for doing this Nick, just not the PDR stuff unless it was a very good price. I do expect a sales pitch of some sort. Just keep your had on your wallet Mark & it will be OK. Last time I went to one of those in Indy given by Griots I spent a couple hundred bucks.

They say it will be a hands on demonstration on how to detail. Yes it is using Griots stuff so I'm guessing there will some sales going on.

These guys are cool they even have a meeting space clubs can use. It's worth going to check them out. If you just leave the cc at home you'll be ok.

Thanks Nick. I'm a Griot's fan and look forward to hearing/seeing what they have. Thanks for setting this up!
