Well I changed my mind. The MINIs missed their spring Epic coats, I was busy. But they still look really good, water beads nicely, baggy paint test is smooth still.
So they are getting a coat of Banana Gloss, Black Wow, wheel wax.
I think 2 coats of Epic applied once a year, with BG applied every 6-8 weeks, and Hydro with every weekly wash is enough for DD's that sleep in a carport.

It's a way to determine how much contaminants are embedded in the paint. You use a regular plastic sandwich bag(not a hefty freezer bag) put your hand in it, and LIGHTLY slid it on the paint. If it glides along with hardly any resistance, that's a good thing, but if it gets snagged and you feel resistance, that's not a good thing, and it's time to clay the paint. You can also place the bag on a slightly sloping surface, say the bonnet, or the downward curve of a fender, and if it slides off, this is good. I also use the back of my hand and lightly sweep the surface, again feeling for resistance.
You can try this any time. Wash, rinse, dry a small area. Then do the test going from the washed area, to an unwashed area, and you will feel the difference. Then clay that clean area, and do the test again, and you will feel a huge difference.
