Nope its a polyester/mylar flake... Too bad I couldn't get the holographic gold in the bigger size.

 

I went and picked up all the graphics today from Kristan @ Artistic Reflection... As always, top quality stuff, even though its one time use!

All those snowflakes will be crammed into just two R56 mirror caps! Very intricate work from my normal patina job variants, she is going to love it!

Goldsmithy, I gave you a bit of a nip-slip in the picture... That should hold you off until completion... Friday night I will be using a technique I haven't even played around with since my Junior year of highschool on your piece! I am looking forward to seeing what it looks like in person instead of in my head, your tank is going to be nuts! [emoji12]

 

About to start the takedown on Goldsmithy's tank... Plus waiting for some special clear to dry on Erin's mirrors so I can start applying snowflakes! [emoji2]

Well... I EFF'ED one up! [emoji35]

The mix was wrong, I thinned it out too much, it started to glob up and run. So I tried to thinner wash it out, and now the base coats are starting to peel on the one mirror.

Get them fully dry tonight, strip and redo tomorrow. [emoji30] If I can get replacement stencils early in the morning. [emoji30]

If not, its looking like next weekend. [emoji20]

 

Its just because it's getting cooler here at night. I should've waited until morning. [emoji20]

Yep, I took the Rat up and picked them up from Kristan this afternoon, going to be working on her mirrors all week after work. [emoji2]

 

It will be coming up soon... Starting again tomorrow after work. [emoji12]

 

I've heard of people using water, and spraying paint over top of that to get nice sharp bubbles/edges of rust spots, but haven't tried it yet. [emoji12]
