These last few shots were taken in low light with the shop lights OFF and just the door open... Let that flake shine! [emoji2]
Change angles again, and the reflected light off of the flake disappears!
I call this project a success!!! [emoji2]
Next up is an I/C diverter being matched to Goldsmithy's coolant tank!
Both of these will be on display in vendor row at the Dragon! [emoji12]

Thanks! You'll get to see it in person at the Dragon! [emoji12]
I'm still in need of interior trim pieces and mirror caps, if you have any undamaged ones taking up space Paul... At this point I would just pick them up at the Dragon... -
I have a set of R58 JCW side scuttles I'll give you at MOTD if you want them.
-
Awesome work. That's some A game right there bud

Like my Grandpa said when I first started... "If you can make the light dance, you're doing it right." [emoji2] -
Dick,
I have a pair of gen2 non power mirror caps. You can have them if you want. -

Sure thing 05r50, that's the kind of thing I'm in the most need of! It lowers the cost for everyone and shortens the turn around time having parts on hand and working with a trade in system... I won't have to add the price of the parts into the cost of a piece. [emoji2]
Are you coming to the Dragon? -

The next project has officially begun!
Doing an Intercooler Diverter for Goldsmithy! It's going to match his coolant tank I painted last September. [emoji6]
Today I finalized the graphic and sent it in to Kristan at Artistic Reflection to be cut into a stencil.
(This is a "dirty" image... Kristan cleans up the edges and gets rid of the unwanted stuff.)
Other than my signature stencil, this is the only graphic going on the piece... Everything else will just be that sweet Red & Black patina over top of the Gold flake. [emoji2]
It's another piece you will get to see at the Dragon! [emoji12] -

Really cool work done here

Dick,
Not to highjack your thread but thought I would share a little artwork of my nephew.
He started with airbrushing designs on his RC cars when he was a kid, then others wanted some. Next he moved on to one-off motorcycle tanks and helmet designs.
Last couple of years he has been building bikes like these out of his garage. This is one of his customers bikes that he won some big awards for.
Keep doing what you love man.
...and now back to our regularly scheduled programAttached Files:

That's AWESOME! [emoji2] I would rather put crazy paint jobs on bikes than cars, just because of the size, and that they see less abuse.

I DID WORK on two projects this weekend! First up was Goldsmithy's I/C diverter... Which was a total disaster on Saturday!
I'm trying to copy the exact process that was used on his coolant tank as close as I can, but made a few mistakes.
So I stripped 4 hours worth of work plus an hour of dry time off, and resprayed all three colors. If I'm not happy with the way something turns out, it doesn't leave my shop... I wasn't happy.
That was supposed to look like this.
After somehow getting everything resprayed before it got too cold with enough dry time for everything to set properly Saturday night, I woke up and took the paint down into this...
Almost a perfect match on the base. [emoji2]
