A good glass eye dropper (one of the big ones) will help getting your mixes consistent. [emoji6] Really there is no best viscosity for paint... Different thicknesses create different effects as well as air pressures, learn how to use it to your advantage. It takes a lot of practice to get everything right, but once you pick up on stuff it comes easy... Before Goldsmithy sent me the airbrush I'm using, I didn't touch one for 15 years! I've still got practice to do, but I remember quite a bit. [emoji2]

But that doesn't mean I'm not ramping things up for summer! [emoji12] Been doing a lot of work to the garage getting it cleaned, organized, and opened up so I can handle some bigger stuff! I won't be opening until after the Dragon, but I can't wait.





I also decided it was best for me to expand a little outside of just doing MINI stuff, so today I turned the shop FB page lose to the Fiat community. [emoji2]

 

Pic's are coming, I'm just trying to find some older pic's you guys haven't seen from the Rat-MINI... All while trying to get the Rat cleaned up to take Aspen by surprise during MITM this weekend.

 

Pictures will be coming as soon as my nephew stops watching other people play video games on the house computer. [emoji6]

 

Still waiting on parts from across the country to get here, do I can order all the vinyl stencils at once so it is a little easier on my graphics lady. [emoji6]

Also working with a local MINI5280 member on a custom rust sculpture, that is turning out to be a bit of a hassle getting everything situated...

And I am about to lose a good chunk of garage space for this...



It's not mine, but I wish it was! It belongs to the guy I painted the MAZDASPEED valve cover for, and its faster than his 11 second daily driver MS6!

Speaking of that valve cover, he started putting everything back together and sent me a semi installed pic today. Looks DAMN GOOD to me! [emoji2]

 

Got some new rust going on some interior trim for the Rat today... Loving having a clean shop! [emoji2]



Primer...

 

Just got the design drawn up for Goldsmithy's Greene Performance coolant tank drawn up! Not going to show it, because I like to keep people guessing about what everything will look like until its done. [emoji12]

But I will show you this...





That is the gold flake that will be used in his project! It is twice the size of flake I normally use, and looks INCREDIBLE! Hopefully it sprays good, and lays down flat, tomorrow, we will find out! [emoji12]

 

The flake is AMAZING! The camera on my phone can't pick it up in the sun it reflects so bright! [emoji12]













Keep on DROOLING Goldsmithy! This is just the base, still lots more to do, but can't until I get your graphics back from Kristan @ ArtisticReflection.com (same girl who makes the Eyeshades sun visors... She is local what can I say)

Then they were blue...

New Grabber Blue from a 2014 Mustang to be exact, because it is a non metallic, and is a little brighter than the Kite Blue I shot her "Tire Tester" with...





Next up is a sky blue candy after some stencil trickery... [emoji12]

 

Wait until you guys see Goldsmithy's tank! Its knocked down and ready for its final clearcoat! [emoji2] That will be coming first thing tomorrow morning! [emoji12]

The snowflake mirrors are ready for the heavy flake...
