Well CD, shortly after that plan was brought up a LOT of things changed! That paint booth won't ever be built, because next April, this house is going on the market, and I am finally moving down to the Dragon! But yes if I were to put in a real paint booth anywhere, it would have more ventilation than it needs. Insurance companies do everything they can not to pay a claim, and probably just having the amount of paint and materials I keep on hand would be enough for them to not want to cover anything! Being a self-employed photographer working with million-dollar cars, I've learned how to grill insurance agents. Most of them have no clue. You have to move past the "insurance companies are evil" stage and find the coverage you need. My business insurance is about 600-bucks a year, and it took me a long time and a lot of phone conversations to find someone who understood my profession. No matter where you live, or what you do, finding the right insurance is essential to financial survival. It is out there, but it sometimes requires a lot of effort to find. CD
Finally got a good outdoor shot of the 135 with its painted mirror caps... Dave.0 should be getting his mirrors and emblems today or tomorrow according to UPS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You gave up in the Porker? Does this mean I have to seek out another cigar to replace the Hamhock? I don't think Bimmer has any sticks that might suit your fancy...:nonod:
I got my parts today from Dick and they look absolutely amazing. Now I do not want to put them on my car until Spring 2017.
Yeah Jeff the Porker went away almost a month ago... I wanted to lower my car payment, and everything that happened between the local MINI people and myself in the last year made me lose interest in the whole MINI community, so when this car popped up at my local BMW dealership it was time to let her go. Surprisingly the BMW payment is lower by a couple hundred bucks a month, and even the insurance is $60 a month cheaper! I'm still stuck on any of the KWF-MUATs and the Specters. WHEW! I am sooooooooo relieved! Even though I have tons of cigars on hand, I just didn't want to start testing something new. Besides, I like the Spectres and the MUWAT KFCs, so you need not worry in that regard. Now, enjoy that new-to-you Bimmer!
I actually found a place to get the MUWAT's local! But, I am really limiting myself on them because I am quitting smoking... Since June I have only had 3 stogies ZERO cigarettes and am already on a 6% on my vape thingy... As long as life doesn't turn into a total shiftstorm again, I've got it this time. Who knows though, selling the house, moving the parents down to Canyon City (no not the prison) and me moving to North Carolina next spring just might make me want a smoke! With you Jeff, I'll always have a stogie, and maybe a good stiff shot of something, but I just don't want to make a habit of it again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That does look good with the framing off center! I was torn between trying to make everything as white as possible with the white balance, or going with the more spia tone... Didn't spend too much time on that shot though, I wanted to spend most of the time on the sunset shots taken after that one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BTW, I do a lot of "off center" photos and layouts. I hate symmetry. Balance and symmetry are not the same thing. Balance is important. Symmetry is boring, IMO. CD
Those are called mountains! It's actually the Snake River Inlet on the south side of Lake Dillon. Great fishing hole if you can stand that sort of thing, they're even rising in the pics if you look close to the shore. I normally shoot off center too, but I've been on a weird front and center kick lately... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
