Quit making crap out of them until you cord them. Then, and only then, will you have an excuse to do such a silly thing to an awesome tire.
keep going at this rate, and you're gonna end up w/ some crazy tires to use as decoration/tables/trash cans in your garage could be a good way to remember all your projects with
That's the plan! I can use them as color/pattern samples for the people who can actually come to the shop. Making them into functional furniture is just a bonus!
I went and picked up all the graphics today from Kristan @ Artistic Reflection... As always, top quality stuff, even though its one time use! All those snowflakes will be crammed into just two R56 mirror caps! Very intricate work from my normal patina job variants, she is going to love it! Goldsmithy, I gave you a bit of a nip-slip in the picture... That should hold you off until completion... Friday night I will be using a technique I haven't even played around with since my Junior year of highschool on your piece! I am looking forward to seeing what it looks like in person instead of in my head, your tank is going to be nuts!
Wow, you guys are a lot closer than I realized.... Please, no pictures of this debauchery, I beg you.
They are for Erin Chris, don't think she would like nipples. Also have Goldsmithy's new IC diverter back there... It will match his coolant tank minus the graphics... There will probably be some graphics on it, but I'm still trying to figure it out.
Today I've got paint drying, mirrors getting prep'ed, and other projects getting ready... Its going to be a few late nights to get some stuff done!
About to start the takedown on Goldsmithy's tank... Plus waiting for some special clear to dry on Erin's mirrors so I can start applying snowflakes! And its only just past noon... What am I going to do tomorrow!
I like your thinking... You are going to freak out when you see your tank! Everything is working like a charm. These mirror caps are no longer Pepper White, but rather a very special white, that you aren't quite ready to see yet!
Then they were blue... New Grabber Blue from a 2014 Mustang to be exact, because it is a non metallic, and is a little brighter than the Kite Blue I shot her "Tire Tester" with... Next up is a sky blue candy after some stencil trickery...
She doesn't even know I am doing them today! I told her next weekend, but I want them on her car for our trip to Aspen on Monday.
Nipples would have been better, and if she's truly that cool she would understand, but that is looking pretty damned good. Not my style, more like something Paul or Colin would get into, but the workmanship looks awesome, definitely something worth showing off...
