I have a hotrod diesel truck, I have a set of digital gauges that plug into the OBDII port and display almost every engine parameter(transmission fluid temp, engine oil temp, gear, MPH,ect...). The only probe I installed was one for Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT). The system I have is and Edge CTS insight. Does anyone know if they make a product for the mini cooper that would work in the same manner? I do not want to have a bunch of gauges going up the A-pillar or around the Tach/speedo. What are my options? Thanks!
Dash Command app, plus a $12 Bluetooth transmitter that plugs into the OBD II port. This probably isn't as comprehensive a combination as you're looking for, though.
I have a Scangauge II in my car. Not very fancy but it works with the benefit of letting me reset codes.
Check out the link below and look at the description section. http://www.amazon.com/ScanGauge-Automotive-Computer-Customizable-Real-Time/dp/B000AAMY86/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421535449&sr=8-1&keywords=scangauge+2
That link has no information. Ive read about it on my own, but specific to the R53 what data is it able to display with the sensors built into the car? Probably just going to end up putting cravenspeed gauges in...
Just about any parameter available from the OBD port is available. ScanGaugeII : Linear Logic - Home of the ScanGauge read the page.
So I decided on some Cravenspeed boost and oil pressure gauges along with the Scangauge II. Should be a solid setup. Thanks for all the feedback!
Sorry...I wasn't looking.... I've got mine set to display Boost, Water Temp, Intake Air temp, and Ignition timing. Others displays you can set on the Scangauge include : Battery Voltage Engine Load Miles/Liters per gallon Fuel pressure Fuel system loop Throttle position RPM MPH Manifold Absolute Pressure plus you can program your own gauges using xcode and reading whatever you can get from your OBDII port. Boost is based on the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) gauge.
