ok... so as all you know, the rear end get's real dirty, real fast due to the aerodynamics of the car.... Are there any solutions out there to deal with that?

    thanks!

I saw something some vendor came out with that you can put on the rear edge of the rear spoiler that he claimed would keep the boot clean. Saw it on the sewing site. Maybe it does and maybe it don't but I thought it really screwed up the lines of the car

Nathan forgot the most important part... repeat as needed.

Other options include going everywhere in reverse, or just not going anywhere, which defeats the purpose of having a MINI.

So no, there really is nothing that can be done about.

If it is just dusty, some QD and a MF towel will take care of it.

Just accept the fact that it will be dirty. You can fight it with quick detailer, but the dirt will always win. I go to a DIY car wash every couple weeks or so, dry with Prima Hydro, clean up any drips when I get home and then forget about it staying clean. My car sits outside, though. If you have a garage, the quick detailing could be more worthwhile.

Keeping your MINI in the garage helps too. I find that by the time I get to the end of the driveway, Spike's already in need of another wash

Here's the Wingtip product that was eluded to earlier (Link removed cause I have issues with where it went)

I don't have it installed so I can't speak to its quality or effectiveness

I had an '82 Rabbit and it didn't get this dirty... Course, the aero is a bit different.

I was wondering this as well, as I can't even run to the grocery without a nasty mess all over the boot end.

It seems that making the holes in the wing (on mine) and directing the air down the back a bit more would blow a lot of it off.

Would be nice... I hate a dirty car, but it is just impossible to keep the thing clean.

    :D

Here is the WTE they are talking about. Available for everything except the R56 Cooper.

or perhaps a non-interest at the price quoted?

    And what, R56's don't get a dirty butt? :D

I know my R55 does, that's for sure! I've seen Clubbys with rear spoilers and mine is without, however it doesn't seem to make any difference on keeping the back end clean which one you have.....

Mine is an R56. The wing on mine should be a bit taller off the car and the duct air down the back that goes under the "wing" and pushes down on the car with the air that goes over the wing. Not like I am going to lose traction in the back if a portion of the air going around the wing was directed down the back glass!

If I had a shop that did fiberglass, I could design it!

I was surprized as well. R50, R53, R56S. They said the one for the R50 will NOT fit the R56, even though it looks like it might from the picture. All the hatches look the same, but I guess they are not. Never really looked that close before.

Will an S spoiler with the rear lip fit the Cooper?

Yes, the R56 "S" wing will fit on the Cooper.

The R50 wing is completely different then the R56 Cooper wing. I have not done a R56 Cooper Wing Tip Extension as there isn't enough interest from the Cooper owners.
