Why yes it does. Welcome brother....
I am telephonically challenged. Not sure I could ever adapt to a smart phone. Trouble is the choices of old fart phones are very slim. Before long it won't be possible to buy a justaphone. :nonod:

I've been a professional Apple service guy for about 15 years now, so I live, eat, and breathe this stuff. It was exactly what I expected, and I will be changing up from the iPhone 4 to the 4S for Siri alone.
The only thing I love more than my iPhone, is my MINI. Well, and the girlfriend, I suppose. Maybe my cats.-

Frankly, I'm glad I can still carry my iPhone4 around in public without feeling like people were looking at me like this:

"S" stands for "SUCKERS". I am a bit underwhelmed by the new model (I do have iPhone 4). At the same time I am relieved that I will not have to upgrade my two iphones until a true iPhone 5 comes out.
-
Would you still be saying "SUCKERS" if you had a 3 that was reaching it's end of life?
I see it as a good point to update, if I had a 4 already I'd probably not see it that way though. -

I am due for upgrade too, want to make the best decision based on other users experience and recommendations. So many options, so little time.

Like Nathan, I'm behind the times on smart phones and will be ordering the iPhone 4S (in white) this Friday to replace the limping crackberry pearl.
In general, Apple releases updated hardware on phones and computes before they revamp them. The iPad 2 was an exception because of growing competition in the tablet market. Some people don't understand that and got all excited at the "speculation" of iPhone 5 then let down with an upgraded 4S.
BTW, I own a few Apple products. Macbook, iMac, iPod Mini, iPod touch (3rd gen), iPad 2, and soon iPhone 4S. -
Well under 20 pounds and would nearly fit in a Mini trunk....Attached Files:

I just have an LG flip phone. I really can't think of what I'd do with a smart phone.
I surf the net enough at home, my wife would kill me if I did it on my phone!
I don't text, or play games. The car's radio is good enough for my music needs.
Heck, I usually have my cell phone turned off, unless I'm going to the store, then my wife can call and tell me to buy something that's not on the shopping list.
I love high tech gadgets, but I don't think a smart phone would be useful to me.
Does that make me an old fart?:biggrin5:

I have a beat up blackberry pearl and it is total garbage. I'm soon going to make the switch to Android though. Nothing against iOS/Apple, but I am keen on the more "open" philosophy of Android, and I like the fact that the Google phones particularly come factory unlocked, without garbage software preloaded. I like to travel and will most likely live for Europe for a stint within the next couple of years. Pop in a SIM card and go.
The Nexus Prime/Nexus 3 will be out sometime this month. It'll be a solid competitor with the Iphone 4S with a dual core processor and so forth. Fun stuff.
I'll be giving my girlfriend my iPod Touch. -

When I was in the AF the first wireless phone I was obliged to lug around (1990-ish) was a Motorola Dynatak, the original "brick." I remember being pissed off because I felt like I was on a virtual leash, they could always get hold of me...of course, that was exactly the point. Others thought I was nuts when I expressed my displeasure because they were very expensive and therefore extremely rare and I should feel honored because it meant I was "important."
I feel similarly today. If I carry the cell around anyone can reach me at any time and I don't like being that accessible. Explains why the thing usually is out of juice and often dusty. I take it with me when I know I might need it...or if I think I might need a calculator.
Showing an aversion to new technology? Nope, just an aversion to the "connected" life. I bought an iPod Touch so I could get most of the non-communication functionality. Why pay for things I won't use? Good thing I don't care whether others think I'm out of date, eh?
Back to the topic. As an Apple stock holder, I'm slightly disappointed. Apple moves at its own pace though and even if they weren't ready to release the iPhone 5, it's still an update and the 5 is on the way.
I'm sure I'd be extremely disappointed if I was carrying a barely functioning phone and holding out for the 5 in hopes of a full blown, industry-leading replacement. It's hard for me to convince myself to buy something when I expect something better to come out "any day now."
