    Gave it a try, but it will not twist. The two locking tabs seem to be in a fixed slot and I can not get to the lower one.

    how many problems I've solved with bent hangar wire. The best ones get kept in the tool box!

    Jim if you can not gently do it then STOP! Go to a shop and ask them and watch how they do it. I doubt they will charge you and you will see first hand how it is done for next time. Better then breaking the part!


    How about the array of tools like wrenches and drivers that are bent for a one time job...:lol:

    I wouldn't worry about communication you are always "clear" :lol: :cornut:

    I have found on my MINI that the Brits have a very interesting idea about connectors. In most cases it seems to be the reverse of what I would have thought. So, keeping that in mind a got a push/pri thingie in the form of a common screw driver.

    Here is the HOW TO"

    1. The two pinch points are on either side of a ring which attaches to two clips (one on each side) at the top of each.

    2. Pressing on these two points at the same time would cause the rear portion (nearest the engine) of the two clips to move upward.

    3. Press down on the one pinch point that you can see and the rear clip will release.

    4. Gently slip the blade of the screw driver under the top (nearest the enginer) clip and lift up, releasing it.

    5. Pull vacuum line off.
