"smote" is past tense. The proper usage is "smite".

Examples...

He vowed that he would smite his enemy.

Misfortune smote him and all his family.

The next time I see a grammar policeman, I will smite them upside the head with a belt tensioner tool. Once they have been properly smote, I will consult my thesaurus for more useless verbs to use as bait for my next victim.

Ran a 2:48 at Road Anerica last weekend. Not my best time, but not horrible. I passed several M3's, race prepped E30's and Cayman S's (even a Cayman R) in the advanced group, I collected their man cards during each point by.

 

Dale Earnhardt Jr. had one.

As long as you don't put eyelashes on it you get to keep your man card.

 

I was just about to take your man club card away and smote you with a chain tensioner tool--I thought you were selling Mickey Mouse gauge plates for the actual gauges themselves. Lol!!! Well, I don't own a MINI yet, but am in the market for one. My man-card credentials are:

1. Gunner for 3rd PLT, 2nd squad, Team Bravo (270th MP Co) 2011-Present
2. Part-time firefighter, Ophir Hill Fire Protection District 2014-Present
3. Deputy Sheriff, SJSO 2009-2010
4. Commercial High Voltage Electrician, various companies. 2002-2009

Two of the soldiers in my unit have Minis (one R53, one R56), and my Fire Captain wants one pretty bad lol.

 

Well, all I can say is that if somebody gets smited with a belt tensioner tool, they have done been smoted!
