Never had a sport bike hold me up, but have had plenty of Hardly-Ableson's play road hog. Not only on the dragon, but most everywhere I encounter them. I know it's not all of them & you wouldn't behave that way. Maybe you can help educate them.

Don't care for MINI's who won't move over either. :biggrin5:

Yeah those MOTD Harley riders love to say "Share the road" but they never do.

It works both ways a-holes. :incazzato:

    Good news about the trucks!

As far as motorcycle riders and car drivers, we all need to share the road. My dad once said, there will always be someone slower than you and someone faster, if we all show respect to each other and share the road, we can all have fun! I know when someone is faster than me, I love to let them by and see what they are doing that could help my driving. Every time I do a run, I try to learn something to help me go faster!

All that being said, I still get frustrated when a higher hp car feels they are faster than me and they are not. I try to ask them nicely to please move over and when they don't, I ask a little more aggressively. If this doesn't work, I just pull over and allow some space (and cool off). Let's all have safe fun out there!

Here is the thing about the Dragon and TN LEO's, They are not on the Dragon 24x7.

If you know the hours and days the LEO's are on the Dragon don't drive the Dragon.:ihih:

If you want to get a ticket drive the Dagon during the day or on Friday, SATURDAY or Sunday.

Early mornings and late nights are the best times for LEO free runs if you have to run the Dragon.

Also the area has much better wide open roads that are LEO fee for having FUN.

Excellent news that my home state finally wised up. Of course, the likely reason was because the LEO's spent way too much time cleaning up big rig issues which takes away time from them giving out tickets for going 40 in a 35:Thumbsup:

Frustrates the crap out of me too Dave, and I'm a dual HD rider. Hey, I don't begrudge the folks who "live the HD lifestyle": wearing SOA-wannabe cuts with HOG patches, show-and-shine nights, riding in packs of 50 or more, most of whom probably can't make a u-turn on a two lane road without putting their foot down, etc. It's just not for me. I'm proud to be the anti-HD HD owner. I ride them for what they are, not what they seem to represent.

When I'm on the V-Rod (or CVO), having a great run and the double-wide cruiser in front of me passes up two pull-offs, I just pull off at the next one and gap them.....otherwise, I would go insane :mad2:

What's wrong with Harley's? Some of those sport bikes won't move over either. I guess next it'll be Minis that aren't GPs cause some Minis won't pull over and you can't catch the GPIIs. LOL:devil:

It's not all HD bikers just the big fat rednecks with the huge Harly RV's blasting the Allman Brothers "Amy" all the way from one end of the Dragon to other end never going over 15 MPH that kills me.

I pull over for sport bikes and they fly by, but I have never had a MINI come up behind me that I was holding up.

I've been to MOTD six times and MSSD twice and from my experience the

majority of Harley riders will not pull over for you. And I have never been

held up by a sport bike. If someone faster comes up behind me I will always

pull over at the first safe spot.

A few years ago on my way to MITM I was in Thompson Canyon E of Estes Park on an uphill section where there were 2 lanes going W and 4 HD Hogs were riding abreast! Significant horn usage got them into 1 lane.

Zillion........if you were to ride your bike like that in OR you would ticketed or dead. It is illegal to ride a bike if it blocks traffic or otherwise impedes travel. Bikes stay to the right and stay on the fog line.

If you're pedaling at a snails pace and weaving across the entire lane, you have no business climbing that hill on a bicycle.

Try an easier hill first, fatty.

I can see it now.......a sign at the side of the road saying "If you are taller than this line, you can't play"

There was lots of comments in Killboy's post on FB, saying how doing this will probably increase the presence of LEO.

In all actuality, I could see this happening.
Hopefully if they do, they work it like when the CSP sees me (or somebody else) messing around in the canyons... If you're not going full retard, they will let you know they saw you (turn on the red&blues) but let it slide and not give chase.
