These sweet babies arrived today.... Stainless steel shielded ball joint linkage.... $5.42 each.....

These will be used to allow the light housing to change axis in order to dial in the alignment....

Trouble is Chuck all the beautiful fab work will be hidden. You need a clear plastic bumper so folks can see your jewel like work.

Jim I like your old school rally lights. :yesnod:

A little update.... Not much to report... Been busy...

Added my x-y alignment springs and screws that will make it easy to aim the beam pattern...

Didn't like the movement I was getting with the bracket flexing so I added a small diameter rod at the top and bottom of the bracket. This eliminated all of the flexing....

A few more trim pieces need to be fabricated and then they will be sent to the powder coater for a matt black coating....

I'll be down at the shop tomorrow morning working on the electrical harness and relays....

    Getting real close now....:D

I think it is time to raise the white flag of surrender when a guy is cutting his own washers out of sheet stock.

Had a little personal time today to work on my MINI light project and made 8 of these little SS jobbies..... They will be my mounts that will allow the light frame attachment to be made with existing fasteners....:D

Soooo..... One of the things I wanted to do was incorporate the oem running light that's built into the top on the oem fog light as part of the new replacement lights.... I really didn't want to tape up the bulb and tuck it up under the fender well or deal with a "bulb out" light on the dash....

Fortunately the new lights have a boss molded into the back of the reflector... I determined the proper drill bit size and very carefully removed the molded plug... I was happy that the oem bulb socket was also the perfect size....

So now I'll have what's called "city lights" inside the reflector housing...

    Amber bulb in place...

Back view of the oem light bulb socket fitted in place...

I still need to push both light supports deeper into the body as they stick out too far from the bumper cover... unfortunately the socket now hits the bump out on the goofy looking washer reservoir....

My plans are to use a heat gun and carefully soften the bottle in the area of the bump out and gently push it out of the way of the socket.... I'll lose a few ounces of washer fluid.... But that tank holds quite a bit...

    That's it for today....

MM, I will believe it when I see it. I still remember something (you never said what it actually was) you made to go in the boot about two years ago, that hasn't been installed yet.:lol:
