I also think having the lights so low will impact the pattern and what you will be able to see negatively. Being so low they will have to be almost parallel with the ground to be able to light up the road in front of you and not the tree tops.

I agree with Scott. :eek6: For those lights to work best an on top of the bumper placement a la Justajim works best. Most folks don't seem to like the lights up there. FWIW those lights mounted the way Chuck wants them will look great.

When I installed mine the only decent bracket available was one sold by Outmotoring. I ended up mounting mine lower than I'd like. Yep the lights don't work as well due to the lower light placement. They are still good, but not optimum.

I'm a bit worried you will be melting the pavement with those. Love the name Lucas had for their old driving lights (Flame Throwers). Their fogs were (Pathfinders). :D

I will need to pull my bumper off in order to see how these are going to fit....
Now that my MINI is resting in the MINI cave, I'll be working on this project this coming weekend.... I'll take lots of pic's... Custom bracketry will be required no doubt... The lights came with "adjuster screws" for mounting, that will allow aiming of the lights....

Spent a little time at the shop this morning working on my driving lights project...

Got a plan for makin the mount so I can adjust the aim... Parts are on order... Should have the bits on Monday

Test fitting to get critical measurements.... Measure twice... Cut once...

Justa Jim... The wires are only for the mockup.... They will be gone with the final mount...:D

Really happy with the amount of room behind the lights for the mounts...

So, does this mean you are going to replace your rear fog light, with a rear driving light, just to keep things equal?

Then, of course, you wouldn't know if you were coming or going.

Didn't you have to wait for those walnut trees you planted to grow? :)

I'd argue with you about that, but it's just too much work. :D :beer
