Just keep in mind, when MM does something he calls something"DIY", it does NOT mean it can be done by the average person in their garage.

Soooo..... One of the things I wanted to do was incorporate the oem running light that's built into the top on the oem fog light as part of the new replacement lights.... I really didn't want to tape up the bulb and tuck it up under the fender well or deal with a "bulb out" light on the dash....

Fortunately the new lights have a boss molded into the back of the reflector... I determined the proper drill bit size and very carefully removed the molded plug... I was happy that the oem bulb socket was also the perfect size....

So now I'll have what's called "city lights" inside the reflector housing...

    Amber bulb in place...

Back view of the oem light bulb socket fitted in place...

I still need to push both light supports deeper into the body as they stick out too far from the bumper cover... unfortunately the socket now hits the bump out on the goofy looking washer reservoir....

My plans are to use a heat gun and carefully soften the bottle in the area of the bump out and gently push it out of the way of the socket.... I'll lose a few ounces of washer fluid.... But that tank holds quite a bit...

    That's it for today....

Here I thought you would machine a new socket and plug with a 90 degree to fit in the space and not lose any washer fluid volume.

As I read this on going project, I kick myself for simply mounting mine in front of the grill, thus completing the project three years ago and having nothing to do now.:lol:

Your right Dave. That is why there is only a 70% chance of snow on Tuesday instead of 100%. :D

    A little update....
Got the OEM plugs I needed to wire the amber running lights that I installed inside the light reflectors....

Rigged it up the stock 5W bulb with 12volts as a test to see how well the reflector picks up the amber bulb....

    room lights off....

Looks like I have "City Lights".... Good reflection inside the housing....

Today I got the spare washer bottle.... I'll need to use my heat gun to soften the plastic thats in the way of the housing.... I'll push it in slightly until I create enough room around the fixture.... I need to push the entire bracket with the light back about 1-1/2" total.... Without doing this the light assemble will be outside the bumper... It looks like it should work.... We'll see....

    Funky washer bottle.....

    That's it for today....:D

Nice work Chuck. Make sure you are using halogen washer fluid.
