    Not being a fiber glass chappy, why do you need a bottom mold? I thought only the top mold would be required as no one sees the inside. Anyway how's the bonnet coming along?

    I would :) that's the thing about a lot of fiberglass panels, they don't take the time to do it right and make the inside look good too.

    Yup. I was thinking that I'd keep the shell as thin as possible to cut weight and that meant making those areas thicker to handle the strain.
    So, the areas for the hinges and where the hood strut bolts on, I made them thicker.

    Regarding the struts, I think I'll have to order a custom set from McMaster-Carr parts to get what I need.
