    Hello,

Does anybody have any experience with the Dual Mass Flywheel that is used for standard transmission MINI's?

Just had to replace one during our clutch replacement.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

    Dual Mass Flywheel

We replaced the clutch in my wife's 2010 Clubman with 32,000kms and the car is only about a year and half old.

It was not deemed warranty, so the bill is mine along with the bill for the $1500 dollar flywheel.

I have done considerable research into the mechanical operation of the DMF from LUK and Sachs and at this point, I am looking for the "rock" measurement. This is how much tilt play there is.

Have a look at the little video.

There are lots of postings about this and some manufacturer documentation about the limitations of this DMF even with chip tuning and the impact. It surprise me that there are not more failures

    Thank you
