Have a 2009 mini cooper s with 107k I bought used a few weeks ago. Had an oil filter housing leak so replaced that a few days ago. Also replaced turbo lines with new ones. Since then I have the downstream leak code p1497…. I’ve retraced everything to no fix ! Noticed today the new braided oil supply line I installed I put the bolts on backwards, small hole is at block and big is at turbo. Does anyone know if this matters at all? What could be the cause of the code if not that ? Any help appreciated…
Over time the plastic pipes that go from the turbo around to the intake become very brittle. Check them you may have a split in one. welcome to MA!
