    <cue "racing announcer" voice>
    "The ONLY wheel-to-wheel racing on the Dragon! Exercise those Boy or Girl-scout dreams, engineer YOUR pinewood car and COMPETE for PRIZES and BUBBA's Nut Rolls and go Draggin' on the Dragon!"

    (well, technically we're racing in the event center, but it sounds SO much better when you hear it in the "SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY voice, even though it'll be on FRIDAY...)

    The car kits are ready, the track is ALREADY in North Carolina, the computerized scoring device and "The Colin" are packed up and ready, all we need are COMPETITORS! Sign up when Event Registration begins, there's a small cost for the kit and breakfast, receive your little Mini-shaped block o' wood, carve and sand and weight and paint, and bring your kinetic art to the Dragon to see what you can do!
    What you get: Block o' Mini-shaped wood, 4 wheels and axles, instructions, and dreams... then a racing experience, some light snacks for breakfast, and the chance to win Bubba Rolls or great prizes!
    What you make: a Mini-themed 5-ounce (max) pinewood-derby type gravity-powered vehicle
    Friday morning, event center, bring your car and your graphite lube and your cheering committee, and race head-to-head on our BSA-approved Track!

    Stay tuned for tips and tricks, let me know when you've registered, and we'll have a good ol' time. We WILL wrap up in time for the PittsBURGER run right after, and THAT will get back to Fontana in time for the Detroit Tuned Brew Swap.

    This is actually THREEE contests in one, with 3-deep trophies for Velocity, and a 3-deep Beauty Contest (for the cars, silly!), AND... again we'll have an "unlimited" class, with a 10-ounce max and a single prize! (still, can't use motors in that class, only gravity...)

    See you there?

    Sold out at 40, increased the racer limit to 60 (as many as we can handle and get back to driving the Dragon!), and selling out fast!

    Next shipments of cars go out this coming week... post up pics if you have 'em.
